To use ADP for payroll, start by making a new payroll cycle to clear out any old data. Once the popup window closes and the new payroll cycle page returns, you can set up the employees who are to be paid by clicking on “Process” in the task bar. Then click “Enter Paydata” and select “Paydata” from the popup menu. Use Automatic Pay for salaried employees.
Your company may employ salaried employees or hourly employees who work a fixed number of hours each pay period. Work with an ADP representative to set up Automatic Pay for these employees. This way, you won’t have to enter their pay data each pay period.You can make changes to an employee’s salary or number of hours any time you need to. Import data from ezLaborManager. This is ADP’s time management and attendance software. You can purchase it with your ADP software package.
Click on the “Enter Paydata icon” and select “Paydata” from the popup menu. You will be directed to a window where you can create a payroll batch. Allow the system to start the new cycle.
If this is an employee account and you still cannot access your ADP account, you can contact your employer administrator for further assistance. They should have your APD User ID on file but will not be able to tell you your password. They may be able to manually prompt a password reset for your account. If your employer has provided you with online access, you can access your pay statements and W-2s at login.adp.com. If you have not previously logged in to the portal, you will need a registration code from your employer. Only your employer can provide you with this code.

Employees can log in to the system and enter their timecard information, hours and any other relevant payroll information. This data is automatically uploaded to your paydata grid. You can get into the system and manually correct or adjust any data as needed. This process saves a lot of time and limits mistakes due to data entry errors. If your business has more than one company that processes payroll, confirm the correct company code. To change the company code, click on the magnifying glass icon and select the correct company code.If you don’t have more than one company, do nothing. Some accruals used by your company may be awarded only after an employee has accumulated a certain number of hours or days in specific earnings codes.

If your company’s accruals have qualification rules of this type, your ADP Implementation Specialist has also set up accumulators for your company. An accumulator tracks how many hours or days an employee has accumulated in one or more earnings codes. An accrual called 3YR PTO could then be created to automatically award 1 day of PTO to an employee when his/her accumulator’s balance reaches 780 days . Multiple accumulators can be defined to track different types of hours or days. An accrual balance usually consists of hours that an employee has earned toward various types of paid or unpaid time off. Click on the “Search” button, and the paydata for this batch will be displayed. You can see complete payroll information for all of the employees in this batch. This step allows you to proofread your paydata entries.
For W2s, you may also contact your state’s labor board or the IRS. Please enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields below to login. On the Earningstab, set up earnings codes so that employees’ hours transfer correctly from When I Work to ADP Workforce Now. If an employee is leaving your business, do not delete the employee from When I Work until after you’ve processed pay period hours. You will be prompted to choose how your business pays out tips.

Accruals can also be used to track monetary awards that are earned or awarded incrementally over time. This step allows you to verify the accuracy of the payroll once it’s been calculated.
